Your Treatment Journey
At our clinic, we believe in providing world-class care from the moment you step through our doors until you're fully back on your feet. Here's what you can expect during your physiotherapy treatment journey with us.

Initial Consultation: The First Step

At your first visit, the reception team will warmly greet you and ask you to take a seat in our lovely waiting room. Lorraine or Simon will then meet with you and bring you into the consulting room to discuss your medical history, current condition, and treatment goals.

It would be very helpful if you had already completed the new patient registration form, which you would have received by email before the appointment, as this asks you for some information about the reason for your visits and helps us better prepare.
This initial session lasts up to 60 minutes and includes:

-
Comprehensive Assessment: An evaluation of your condition through physical examinations and diagnostic tests to understand the root cause of your issue.
-
Personalised Treatment Plan: Development of a tailored plan that addresses your specific needs and goals.
-
Treatment: There is usually time to begin treatment, which will include advice and education as well as the application of treatment techniques described below.

Treatment Sessions: The Path to Recovery

Your treatment plan may include a variety of techniques based on your needs, such as manual therapy, exercises, medical acupuncture, or dry needling and electrotherapy, such as low-level laser therapy.
Here's what to expect:

-
Manual Therapy: Hands-on techniques to improve movement and reduce pain.
-
Exercise Programs: Customised exercises to enhance your strength, flexibility, and mobility.
-
Acupuncture and Dry Needling: Utilised for pain relief and muscle function improvement.
-
Electrotherapy: To help alleviate pain and promote tissue healing and repair.
-
Education and Advice: Guidance on posture, ergonomics, and lifestyle adjustments to prevent future injuries.
At each session, we will track your progress and adjust the treatment as necessary to ensure you're on the right path to recovery.

A course of treatment may vary from a few sessions for a more recent injury to a longer course of treatment for a more complex, persistent (chronic) problem. The expected number of sessions required will be discussed at your initial appointment, depending on your assessment findings and diagnosis.

It is essential to make your treatment a priority and attend your physiotherapy sessions as scheduled to achieve the best results.
